The yellow tape makes it look like a crime scene…but not to worry. Our front sidewalk, along West Lake Road, is being replaced. This is in addition to PennDOT repaving of the street. The new walk will also feature ADA-compliant access points.
To our knowledge, the original walk dates back to the 1940s. The new one will be much safer for all pedestrians, especially the kids walking to Westlake Middle School.

Our agency can trace it’s roots back to the 1950s, founded by Robert Morrow. It has undergone several ownership and location changes over the years.
On 4-1-97, John Rushe joined Don Werle as a partner and principal – forming the Werle & Rushe Agency at Don’s French Street office. Moving plans were finalized once things were “official” and we relocated to Bernwood Center on W 12th Street in Millcreek Township. In 2006, we rescued a nearby abandoned home, transforming it into our current location at 4055 W Lake Road.
While some things have changed,others have not. We have steadfastly offered Erie Insurance as our featured carrier. We offer special thanks to the employees of the Erie. They are truly “Above All In SERvIcE”. We are also thankful for the special needs that are served by our other carriers, especially Millville Mutual and Progressive.
Over the years, we have grown into the tag-line at our website – “24/7 Website Convenience PLUS Local Personal Service”. Technology makes part of that possible. But we owe special thanks to our staff – Licensed Agent Kathy Wager, Licensed Customer Service Representative Terry Johnson, and Insurance Service Assistant Joyce Tice.

It was a blustery Erie evening. But for those who attended, they did nto fight large crowds to see new models as well as a special display of classics and antiques.

Thank you to everyone who dropped off a toy for the Marines Toys for Tots campaign at our office! The toys have been picked up by the marines and they will be distributed shortly to the local children in our area! Once again thanks for helping to brighten the lives of the kids in our hometown!!!
